My Favorite Concealer – Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer

While doing my everyday make-up, I just realized I haven’t talked to you yet about one of my greatest beauty discoveries of 2012. When I’m supposed to leave the house, I always include a good concealer in my morning makeup routine. To give my under eye area a fresher, more awake appearance ánd to hide any blemishes (of which I’m majorly suffering lately, damn those pregnancy hormones!)

The Kat Von D tattoo concealer had been on my wishlist for quite some time, until I finally got my hands on it last summer. The reason I wanted this one in particular was because I didn’t have a heavy, full coverage concealer yet.

Downside was that I’d been searching for months, I’d looked e-very-where for the concealer, but dang, it wasn’t simple to find one from where I was looking Belgium. So I eventually waited and purchased the Kat Von D concealer at Sephora when I last visited Florida.

The concealer comes in a handy tube, which makes it easy to squeeze out the exact amount I need, which is in this case, very little. The amount on the picture is enough to cover up all of my blemishes, conceal the redness around my nose and work away any discoloration underneath my eyes. This small tube will seriously last me two lifetimes.

I usually take a small concealer brush to pick up the product from my hand. However, I only use the brush to pick up the product and dot the blemishes one by one. After having accentuated every spot and blemish with the brush, I take my ring finger and start patting. I pat until the concealer has covered up (most part of) the blemish, and apply my foundation right after.

I have this concealer in “Sand” and love it for its great coverage and long lasting wear. I had a hard time finding the right concealer for concealing pimples, red spots and blemishes, but I think I’ve found my rescuer! At the same time, it works miracles as an under eye concealer. This baby does it all!

When I take off my make-up at night, the concealer hasn’t budged at all. It looks exactly the same after an entire day. Too bad sleeping with make-up is bad, otherwise, I wouldn’t think twice about letting it sit for the next day haha, it would look as good as the day before!

Kat Von D tattoo concealer: around 20 EUR

  1. I heard really great things about this one! It can actually really cover a tattoo! Too bad you can’t find the brand here because it looks very promising!

Yes, I’m pretty curious if it would actually cover up an actual tattoo, I’ve heard and read similar stories. It does conceal blemishes VERY well, but concealing an entire tattoo with this product almost seems unrealistic to me . Too bad I don’t have one to try it out though ^^
