Valentine Collection 2012 by Lush
Featured: (In)Significant Magazine
Early January, Marie of (In)Significant Magazine and I decided it would be fun for me to write a guest post for the magazine. I follow both her personal blog and the online magazine, plus she’s such a sweet girl, so I was more than happy to do so. Main subject? My absolute must-buys during the January sales. It took me a few days to go over the items I wanted to share, trying not to forget any important ones, but I think I succeeded, and voila, here’s the end result. I hope you like it!

2011 Beauty Favorites
I’m probably the last one on this planet right now to post my 2011 favorites. But as long as it’s still January, right?
A year goes by so fast, but looking back on those 12 months and picking out my absolute favorites, I realized I have gathered and collected a lot of beauty products. A year is pretty long if you think about what you have experienced, what you have seen or in this case what you have gathered.
I eventually succeeded in choosing a ‘select’ amount of beauty products, the ones I really really loved and well, still love. A mix of recently discovered products and old-time favorites.
SKIN CARE
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
Kiehl’s Yerba Mate Tea Lotion
Kiehl’s Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment
A Personal Take on Life & Blogging
Today I feel inspired. By my own thoughts, and by a book called “Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul”. This book used to be and still is one of my favorites. I love reading about other people’s lives, how they get through tough times and fight their way through. Now don’t think that this book is all about bad thoughts and negativity. Not at all. The stories are about how certain people learned a life lesson, became stronger and successfully got on with their life. Inspiring.
So there was this one article which really caught my attention, to which I felt related, not only in my personal life, but also as a blogger. And that’s why I want to share these, let’s call them “insights”, with you.
Philosophy: Believe In Miracles
Great news guys! You might have already heard about it, but Philosophy is finally coming to Belgium, at last! 2012 brings us good stuff from the very start.
I think most of us are known with the brand, or at least, it should sound familiar. I think many of us haven’t gotten the chance to discover the products though, being unavailable in Belgium up until now, and since the bottles are so huge, it’s not convenient to order them from the net either. But now, here’s our chance!
Exclusive Find: Philippe Audibert
Philippe Audibert is a jewelry brand which I discovered several months ago by browsing various websites and fashion blogs. The gold and copper bracelets in particular really caught my attention. I loved them at first sight, and immediately wanted to order one, at least one, for my own.
Metal-X Cream Eyeshadow by MAC (+ FOTD)
“…a cutting-edge formula that transforms powdery cream into liquid metal before your very eyes – on your very eyes (or cheeks, brow bone, décolletage…anywhere a multi-dimensional metal effect is desired). Created with a new mélange of pigments that allow superior blendability and spreadability, this luxurious highlighter goes from medium to high intensity coverage in a simple one-stroke application. Whether you’re into heavy metal or just a fleck of gilded foil, this molten magic is sure to elevate any look with its extreme brilliance, shine and dimension.”
Time-Saver: Volume Lift Dry Shampoo by Syoss
Today I ‘ll be talking about a product which I wouldn’t immediately have written about, because – in most situations- I’d refuse to grab for something as a dry shampoo. I’ve always been against it more than I loved it. Grew up with: “It’s damaging to your hair, don’t ever make a habit of using dry shampoo”. And that’s exactly the difference.
Hot Spot: Lili&Martha
Some time ago, I discovered heaven for all of you creative, cozy souls out there. A small, or actually quite large boutique – they’ve recently added a second floor – called Lili&Martha. The exterior being all pink and sugary, I managed to walk past it too many times, until my sister stopped me right then , right there. “You HAVE to go inside, you won’t leave empty handed.”
